Founded just one year before Forest Lawn, Inglewood Park Cemetery was for a long time advertised with an appeal to its size: From its very first announcement it was repeatedly described as "the largest and most beautiful," three hundred acres "overlooking the city of Los Angeles" with its own stop on the Los Angeles & Redondo Railway.

The cemetery's entrance remains a key travel hub in Inglewood; the road that continues its driveway across Manchester Avenue is now called "Kareem Court" and is the main entrance to the Forum's parking lot. Siting along the flightpath inbound to LAX, the roar of jet engines passes overhead every few minutes.

Inglewood Park is home to the second-most graves among twentieth-century mayors of Los Angeles, next to Angelus-Rosedale cemetery to the northeast. On my visit in Spring of 2021 I'd meant to view the grave of Tom Bradley but wasn't sure which mausoleum to look in.
